Congratulations! You've just had your home-buying offer accepted. Now what? There are a couple of things you need to be on top and in this article, we have listed what you need to do when your offer is accepted.

The first step you should take is to contact your lender, so they can continue processing your loan. You'll need to provide them with a variety of documents – including everything about your income and assets, items to support any credit report concerns, and potentially a slough of other things. Most people are really surprised with the amount of paperwork needed, so be diligent during this process. They'll also need to know everything about the house you’re buying and order their appraisal.

Next, it's important to get an inspection done on the property. A thorough inspection will tell you if there are any structural issues or potential problems with the property before you buy it. You will have an option to request concessions or credits from the seller on any items of concern.

Once these steps have been completed, you can sign your loans paperwork and close on your new home. Be sure that all paperwork is reviewed carefully before signing anything to make sure there are no surprises down the road. After closing, you should receive a deed that shows proof of ownership for your new house!

With these steps taken care of, you're ready to move into your new home and start making memories!
